For my Halloween birthday, a dear friend and longtime beta reader gifted me this journal and calligraphy set. She has been part of the work from the beginning — reading early drafts, refining pitches, weighing in on design, and steadying the process through years of revision. She also helped shape the name Obsidian Quill Books, my independent publishing imprint. The set now sits on my desk as a reminder that stories are rarely made alone — and that belief, given early and freely, leaves its mark.
